We’re delighted to welcome David to come and chat to our audience about working as a cycling instructor for children at school.

The government is supporting a significant drive to get young people to cycle and, as a result, many cycling organisations across the UK want to recruit people to teach young children how to ride bikes.

David is coming to chat to us about:

  • Why this is a great job
  • How to get involved and what's needed to become an instructor
  • The pay and working conditions

It’s a job which doesn’t require previous experience – they have everyone from accountants to surveyors, teachers to graphic designers, who move into this as a career change.  Ideally, they like people to commit 3 days a week but more days are possible.

Bespoke Cycling Instruction is limited to locations in South Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, however, what we cover with David is transferable as many organisations across the UK are similarly recruiting.

This is a great chance to come and ask questions and consider doing something totally different but highly rewarding.

About David Scott

David spent his professional career working as a surveyor in the City of London advising clients on investment and property management. Redundancy during covid allowed him to contemplate his work life balance and consider alternatives to corporate life. He has been a volunteer rowing coach for 15 years and knew he enjoyed working with and empowering young people. A keen cyclist, the opportunity to combine riding and keeping trim with work was a great opportunity for a lifestyle change.
