Ever Thought About Teaching? Career Change with Now Teach

Rob Fryer, Director of Recruitment at Now Teach, is joining Brave Starts members for an informal conversation about moving into teaching later in your career.

Now Teach is the charity dedicated to helping experienced professionals retrain as teachers in state secondary schools across England.

We’ll chat informally for about 25-30 mins and then have time for questions.

Over the course of the session, Rob will discuss:

  • What teaching really looks like for someone coming from another career, beyond the headlines.
  • How your professional experience translates into the classroom, and why schools need it.
  • Eligibility, subjects in demand, and the training routes open to you.
  • The support Now Teach offers, from choosing a training option through your first two years as a teacher.
  • The key questions to ask yourself before you apply.
  • The practical parts: cost of training, salaries when you start.

This is a relaxed, honest conversation rather than a sales pitch. Come curious, come sceptical, and bring your questions.
