Age and the Law

In this session, we'll introduce you to one of the UK’s top employment law barristers. With an ageing population, instances of age discrimination are on the rise. Our insight is organisations are reluctant to make changes to consider the needs of an ageing population, so we need to arm you with practical insights so that you understand your rights with respect to age and know how to potentially build an evidence base to support instances of age discrimination.

Elaine will cover:

  • Age discrimination – how it manifests itself in the most common instances, using examples so you are better able to spot and identify if it’s happening to you.
  • How to decide whether it’s worth making a claim or not.
  • What sort of costs you might have to consider if you were to pursue something/when it’s a proportionate risk.
